Anodyne, an indie action/adventure title, contains some intense boss fights. Golem speaks with Sean Hogan, one of its (two) designers, in order to learn how the game approaches bosses. Plus, episode 4 of the podcast dealt extensively with exploration, so he discusses Anodyne's sense of discovery.

Also, Anodyne's story is Lynchian in its otherworldly dream-like feel, but it's not obtuse.
