Elijah Fernandez is one of four developers on Relic, an overhead adventure game. Over the course of the game, players explore zones themed after the classical elements and earn abilities based on those elements.

This interview draws inspiration from a few different podcasts. First, our discussion of setting reflects on Yourself's take on Terranigma, which pondered the relation between room design, maze layout, and the type of place portrayed.
Next, it parallels the time we discussed weapons in Ranger X, since both discussions consider how players earn and appropriately use weapons, both based on stage design.
Finally, Relic's combination weapon system contrasts against Shatterhand's. They both offer complicated combination weapon systems, but Shatterhand asks the player to put together abstract Greek letters, while Relic gives weapons identifiable elements.
